Does GEICO Write Home Insurance in Kentucky?

GEICO is a licensed insurance agency that sells auto insurance under its own underwriting company. For homeowners insurance in Kentucky, GEICO doesn’t underwrite the policy — they refer or place it with a partner carrier. When you buy ‘GEICO homeowners’ online, you’re actually being written by Homesite, Liberty Mutual, ASI, or another underwriter. Your bill may come from GEICO, but the policy is issued by the actual insurer.

The ‘bundling discount’ you get by combining GEICO auto with ‘GEICO’ home is real on the auto side but limited on the home side, because the home policy is with a different company.
