Kentucky Tesla and EV insurance market update
Tesla insurance in Kentucky remains carrier-market only (Tesla’s captive insurance is not licensed in Kentucky), so all Kentucky Tesla owners insure through the standard property-casualty market. Kentucky Tesla premiums continue to average 25–40 percent higher than comparable gas vehicles, driven by high replacement cost and the absence of a Kentucky Tesla-certified body shop. Ford F-150 Lightning owners in Kentucky now have Supercharger access via NACS adapter, and Rivian owners gained the same access in 2025. Read our full Kentucky Tesla insurance guide, F-150 Lightning guide, Rivian R1T/R1S guide, and Kentucky Supercharger road-trip guide.
Kentucky home insurance rate environment
The 2026 Kentucky home insurance market continues to see rate pressure from storm-loss frequency, replacement-cost inflation, and reinsurance costs. Full details in the 2026 Kentucky Home Insurance Cost Report.
Erie Insurance in Kentucky
Erie remains one of the most competitive standard-market home and auto carriers in Kentucky, with Rate Lock, Guaranteed Replacement Cost, and the ErieSecure tier structure available to Kentucky policyholders. Read our Erie in Kentucky complete guide.
